Efficient cost management in sugarcane cultivation is essential to ensure business sustainability and profitability. For this reason, we have developed a set of administrative tools that allow cost control at each stage of the crop cycle. For each productive unit (plot or lot), the required resources are budgeted, along with the lots to be renewed. Once all budgetary information is generated, recommendations for field tasks are issued. The execution of tasks is then verified to ensure that it was performed and that paid activities are aligned with the planned ones, thus avoiding deviations and cost overruns in plantation establishment. The results of this budget control strategy showed a 3% reduction in establishment costs per hectare for 2024. The implementation of these tools has enabled rigorous cost control, allowing data-driven decision-making, real-time deviation corrections, and improvements in operational efficiency and company profitability.
