For the enhancement and growth of the productivity, learning and development are very important measure that makes the job easier for employees. It helps the employees improve their skills and knowledge while they are on their duties and employment. Triveni Engineering and Industries Limited provided the learning and development activities to their employees in the different departments, including the manufacturing, Engineering and in the cane department which were given for the productivity enhancement in season and in off season. Moreover, the learning and development have been a continuous process in TEIL Deoband unit. The training was provided to the workers based on the training need analysis, which their respective heads of the departments conducted, while the training methods were easy, simple and cost effective. Moreover, learning and development needed help the workers learn new skills in a collaborative learning environment. Learning and development comprise a very comprehensive method to improve the employee’s skills which helps in improve productivity through better work performance, and it bridge the skill gap of the employees, resulting in the positive organisational capabilities and good business impact in the firm. This also helped enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the employee’s work. The employees who were experts in their respective fields working in the company were selected to train the semi-skilled and inexperienced employees working in the different stations during the season and off season, while the assigned task force collected the feedback.
